Grant Writing Activities
Activity 1: “Decision Making Tool” Spreadsheet
Go to this site and download the excel file. http://www.erlanger.k12.ky.us/teachers/Sweasy_Bryan/tablet/:
1. Using this excel spreadsheet, follow the directions and rate what you would consider important for your classroom or grade level. Now save the file and look at your results
2. Go to dropbox in JCPS on line named “Decision Making Tool” Spread sheet and dropped the spread sheet you completed.
3. Looking at the results what type of product would fit your needs? Do you already have that product? How might you get this equipment?
4. Now answer these question and also write what you learned in the dialog box provided in the dropbox.

Special Note: Please don’t use Donner’s Choose for this project. Donner’s Choose is not really a grant, but does ask for some of the same information – 1. Description what your student will gain which also means what educational needs need to be met, 2. Description of the project, 3. what physical things you need. It also asks you to do a follow up on how the project worked. All grants require something like this, but most of the time it must be data to prove the effectiveness. There are not time restraints or accounting of monies with Donner’s Choose.
